How does CloudMonitor set up the Owner?

The Owner is the person responsible for the cost and ownership of the Resource, Resource Group, Subscription or Cost Group. 

To further explain: 

Resource Group Owner is assumed to be the Owner of the most resources in that Resource Group 

  • A Cost Group Owner is set when Cost Group is created 

  • A Subscription Owner comes from the Cost Group it belongs to. If it does not have one then it comes from the Default Owner. There is a Default Owner (Email) specified when the customer installs CloudMonitor. 

  • The Owner of the Cost Group, Subscription, Resource Group and Resources can be changed in the Admin App (version 2) 

  • The Owner is the “Created By” person of the Resource
